Rain, Flash Flooding, Thunder & Lightning Warnings in Reno Area

It’s been raining off and on for weeks now in Northern Nevada, with rain coming again this morning, with high humidity.  All this water helping the severe drought plaguing the state.  Temperatures have been hot, with yesterday being 94, along with the stickyness of high humidity.  Rather odd, wet weather for the month of June in the High Desert area.

And with the change in pressure, my feet are swelling. The foot neuropathy has been flaring up badly over the last few days, and the medication I take for it being ineffective. Hard to walk at times with bottoms of feet burning, along with weird shooting pains in them. So I’ve been more or less laid up, unable to walk for any length of time. Neuropathy is a real aggravating nerve damage I wouldn’t wish on anyone. It’s a constant torture. Although there are meds for it, such as Lyrica 100, Gabapentin 800 which I take, they are not a cure all — and cannot be depended on to help all the time. There is no cure for the scourge.

My puffy, swollen foot from yesterday afternoon. Can't get around much on that.

But one pleasantry in all this misery and torment… the cat that watches TV.
