Officials studying the worst bird flu outbreak in the U.S. say egg prices reached record levels after the bird flu outbreak decimated the flock, leading to the death of more than 20 million egg-laying hens over the last month. Turkeys are affected by this avian scourge as well. Prices for chicken and turkey are on the rise as well, obviously, due to this countrywide plague.
