Every Sunday dinner, inmates are treated to a “special” meal that rotates weekly between roast beef, roast turkey, roast chicken and roast pork. When I was there, I observed an over-stocked warehouse, with pallets filled with donated food reaching to the ceiling. There was plenty. Something fishy is going on with the food. Where’s it really going? Certainly not to people who walk in there needing a hand. I’m very suspicious of what’s going on there and it should be looked into. And don’t give me that old bullshit that I should be grateful and all that crap — I am, BUT! Those food banks are GETTING MONEY AND TAX BREAKS from big corporations and the federal government to provide for needy citizens. They’re NOT hurting. But that donated food is going somewhere — and it’s not to the homeless and needy around here! Probably OUT OF THE COUNTRY!
