Harry Reems, star of the genesis of porn, has died at age 65, reports FOX News.
We pay tribute to Harry here because he will forever be a “pop culture icon” of the 20th century in relation to the sexual revolution of the 1970s and the first known “star” of the genesis of the porn industry, which today grosses trillions worldwide in sales. Although Reems’ dick was not as big as porn pop culture icon John Holmes, his well-endowed contemporary of 1970s porn films, Reems’ good looks and hirsute body attracted droves of horny women, making Reems a box office draw for years. As lurid as the porn industry is with its films depicting disgusting, deviate sexual acts humiliating to women, it is common knowledge that without porn, the Internet would have died out like the pet rock fad of the 1970s did.
Reems brought porn into the mainstream with his 1972 comedy/porn film, “Deep Throat,” about a sexually frigid woman named Linda Lovelace who was discovered to have a clitoris at the back of her throat. In the film, Reems played kindly and generous Dr. Young, who “tutored” Lovelace into refining her cock-sucking skills using his penis to practice on, which would give her orgasms when the area at the back of her throat was touched by a penis — thereby solving sexual problems that plagued her.
The film became a box office sensation and was played in sleazy movie theaters all over the world and brought Reems and female star, Linda Lovelace worldwide fame. Reems went on to do “The Devil in Miss Jones,” yet another “pop cultural sensation” that made millions. Although Reems’ movies (see them all online here) were successful, he hated doing porn and left the pornographic film industry in the 1980s.
