FeatureImageThe the first big snow storm of the season hitting Reno, Nevada, finally SNOW comes to the drought-stricken area! It snowed all night and early this morning, covering the land white.  Ski resorts and skiers ecstatic over the powder.

But with it came mass power outages, including me, for 4-1/2 hours today!  I went to The Dollar Store to buy emergency candles.  I took a bath in the dark!  Place was 32 degrees, now 38 degrees.  House cold, but the power’s restored so I can have heat.  Don’t know if my chicken stock is safe to eat or not.  The power went out just as it started boiling.  Will I die from Salmonella?  We’ll soon see!

GET TO THE DOLLAR STORE AND BUY EMERGENCY CANDLES FOR WINTER TIME LIKE I DID!

Emergency Candles

neardeathexperience1The Osteo Arthritis in my spine was ***REALLY*** hurting bad last night and this morning, likely caused by the storm. There’s a correlation. It flares up when cold storms approach. I took a hot bath in a dark bathroom to calm it, but it still hurts a might and I can’t sit up for very long. I’m taking an anti-inflammatory for it, hoping it will do some good. Causes me to walk slow and kinda funny. A real bitch. This growing old thing is not for me. Not working out well for me. I probably won’t live to see 60, but we’ll give it a go anyway. I’m doubtful. With all the medical issues I have it’s like a supernatural force it slowly warning me my life won’t be long. Whatever, I just hope there’s something after, where I can see my parents and older brothers and my friend Mark and his family, along with my Whiskers cat who died. That’s all I care about. Not scared!
